Abstract
Critical thinking is the process of advanced and deep thinking to assess a patient’s needs, according to the evidence-based practice in treating patients according to their needs, then decision-making is carried out in the delivery of care. The current study aimed to investigate Nursing students’ perception towards critical thinking process of knowledge and skills at KAU. The study followed A quantitative descriptive design and was carried out at the faculty of nursing students aÿliated to King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudia Arabia. All second nursing students (n=75) who studied at nursing college and willing to participate in the study. Data Gathering tool was nursing students’ perception towards critical thinking process which was developed by the researchers from literature review. It consists of three main parts of nursing students’ perception. This study found that majority of students perceived critical thinking Process based on evidence while few of them do not know the definition of critical thinking . Also the result explained the barriers of critical thinking.It is very important to investigate ways in which student critical thinking ability can be improved and focus on teaching instructional methods and techniques that enhance the critical thinking skills.
